Aesthetic Blood Panel

Your skin reflects what’s happening inside.

Skin is often the first place internal imbalances show — in dullness, breakouts, thinning hair or premature ageing. Our Aesthetic Blood Panel measures around twenty markers chosen specifically for their influence on skin, hair and complexion, so we can treat causes as well as symptoms. Every panel is reviewed by our medical team.

What it measures

Grouped by what each cluster tells us about your skin:

N

Iron, blood & hair

Full Blood Count, ferritin and iron studies (serum iron, TIBC, transferrin saturation). The biggest driver of hair shedding and a dull, tired complexion.

N

Hormones (male & female variants)

total and free testosterone with SHBG, and DHEA-S; for women, oestradiol, progesterone and LH/FSH, with prolactin where relevant. Central to acne, ageing, hair and perimenopausal skin change.

N

Thyroid

TSH and free T4. Behind dryness, poor texture and hair loss.

N

Glycation & metabolic

HbA1c and fasting glucose. Glycation cross-links collagen and is a genuine, evidence-backed driver of skin ageing.

N

Micronutrients

vitamin D, vitamin B12, folate and zinc. Skin quality, healing and acne.

N

Inflammation

HSCRP. Relevant to rosacea, acne and general skin inflammation.

N

Organ baseline

liver and kidney function. A whole-picture view, and a safety baseline for anyone also having IVs or injectables.

How it works

N

One blood draw

taken at the clinic. For women, we time the draw to your cycle (or interpret results accounting for cycle phase), since sex hormones vary through the month.

N

Clinician-reviewed as standard

every panel is reviewed by our medical team, with a clear process to act on or refer any finding that needs following up.

N

Built into your plan

findings inform your treatment and, where relevant, your nutrition and supplementation.

Who it’s for

Patients with persistent skin, hair or complexion concerns that surface treatments alone haven’t resolved, and anyone who wants their skin plan built on internal data as well as imaging.

An honest note

This panel is skin-focused, but it looks at real clinical markers such as, hormones, glucose and thyroid markers, so it occasionally surfaces something worth acting on beyond skin. That’s a feature, not a flaw: every result is reviewed by a clinician, and if something needs attention, we’ll tell you and, where appropriate, refer you on.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to fast beforehand?

We’ll tell you at booking if any marker needs fasting. Most don’t; fasting glucose is best done fasted, so we’ll guide you.

Does it hurt?

It’s a standard blood draw, a brief needle, over in moments.

Do women need to time it to their cycle?

Yes, for the hormone markers we time the draw to your cycle, or interpret the results accounting for the phase. We’ll guide you at booking.

What happens if something comes back abnormal?

Every panel is reviewed by a clinician. If something needs following up, we’ll discuss it with you and, where appropriate, refer you on.

How is this different from an NHS blood test?

It’s a skin-focused panel covering markers a routine test often won’t, chosen specifically for their effect on skin, hair and complexion, and it’s interpreted in the context of your skin goals.

How often should I repeat it?

Typically once a year, or when we’re tracking a specific change. We’ll advise.
